Upon completion, Revelstoke Mountain Resort will include over 20 lifts and more than 100 ski and snowboard runs. By the 2007/2008 ski season, an 8-person gondola will take skiers from the upper village to an elevation of 5,577 feet (1,700 metres), where they can traverse over to the high-speed quad chairlift beginning at 5,249 feet (1,600 metres) and rising to 7,365 feet (2,245 metres). The resort's recent acquisition of Selkirk Tangiers Helicopter Skiing provides access to over 500,000 acres of additional terrain. By 2008/2009, Revelstoke Mountain Resort will boast North America's longest vertical descent with 6,000 feet (1,829 metres) of lift-serviced terrain.
